Michael McWilliams (b.1956, Launceston) is a Tasmanian painter known for his distinctive landscape works featuring a range of native Australian (and specifically Tasmanian) wildlife alongside introduced species. Highly detailed and quintessentially Tasmanian, McWilliams landscapes capture the natural splendour of the island state, whilst posing questions about the history of human impacts on the environment.
