 Francis Lymburner (1916 – 1972) trained in Brisbane won the Mossman prize in 1951 before living in England from 1952 – 64. He returned to Syndey in the late 1960s. A retrospective of his work was held by the Art Gallery of New South Wales in 1992. His work is held by the National Gallery and most state galleries.
