Tattersall's Landscape Art Prize 2014
Five of Philip Bacon Galleries' artists have been invited to display works in the 2014 Tattersall's Landscape Art Prize. Peter Anderson, Peter Boggs, Robert Brownhall, Neil Frazer, and June Tupicoff have all been included, and their work will be on display at Waterfront Place until the 19th of September.

The Tattersall's Landscape Art Prize is a $30,000 acquisitive prize held every year. For more information on the Prize, please visit Tattersall's website.

Wynne Prize 2014
Tim Storrier and Philip Wolfhagen have been included as finalists in the 2014 Wynne Prize, at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

The Wynne Prize is awarded to the best painting of the Australian landscape or figure sculpture. 

Finalists' works will be on display at the Art Gallery of New South Wales from 19 July to 28 September 2014.

Archibald Prize 2014
Three of Philip Bacon Galleries' artists--Peter Churcher, Wendy Sharpe, and Tim Storrier--have been included as finalists in the 2014 Archibald Prize.

The prize will be showing at the Art Gallery of New South Wales from 19 July to 28 September 2014, before touring regional venues in New South Wales. The prize itself will be judged by the Trustees of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and the winner will be announced shortly. 

Tim Storrier's portrait of Barry Humphries as his character Sir Les Patterson has won the Packing Room Prize.

Remembering the Johnstone Galleries, at UQ Art Museum
Remembering Brian and Marjorie Johnstone's Galleries is now on display at the UQ Art Museum, St Lucia, bringing together a number of works sold through their galleries as well as scrapbooks, photographs, and other historical memorabilia. Many of the items on display come from the State Library of Queensland's Johnstone Gallery Archive.

Sam Fullbrook at Queensland Art Gallery
Sam Fullbrook: Delicate Beauty is now on display at the Queensland Art Gallery, until 10th August 2014. This is the first major exhibition of Fullbrook's work in twenty years and it includes striking landscapes and portraits from many private and public collections. A beautiful full colour catalogue has been produced for the show.

Robert Brownhall - Winner, Speaker's Art Prize
Brisbane-based realist painter Robert Brownhall has been awarded the Speaker's Art Prize, courtesy of Queensland Parliament and the Flying Arts Alliance. The prize is awarded to a Queensland artist commissioned to create a painting, drawing, or sketch of Queensland's Parliament House, and the award was presented by the Hon Fiona Simpson MP at a reception this week.

Moreton Bay at Museum of Brisbane
The many lives of Moreton Bay is now on display at the Museum of Brisbane until 12 October 2014, featuring a number of works by Ralph Wilson, Charles Blackman, and other important Queensland artists such as William Bustard and Kenneth Macqueen.

Exhibition entry is free, and the Museum can be found on the third floor of Brisbane City Hall, at King George Square between Adelaide and Ann Streets. The Museum of Brisbane is open 10am to 5pm every day.

Peter Boggs at Orange Regional Gallery
A retrospective of Peter Boggs' work, titled Mysterious realities: The art of Peter Boggs, will be on display at the Orange Regional Gallery, New South Wales, from 28 March to 4 May 2014. The exhibition will include works from his signature Boboli Gardens series as well as his delicate Australian inland townscapes, and it will be opened by Professor Sasha Grishin, head of art history at the Australian National University.

Orange Regional Gallery is open 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday, and 12pm to 4pm on Sundays. Entry is free.

William Robinson: The Farmyards
The Farmyards is now on display at the William Robinson Gallery at QUT Gardens Point, Brisbane, until 8 June 2014. Rare works from Robinson's famed farmyard period have been brought together for this exhibition, including many privately held pieces not exhibited in decades. 

A full colour publication has also been produced for the show.

The William Robinson Gallery is located on the first floor of Old Government House, at QUT's Gardens Point campus in the Brisbane CBD. Admission is free, and the exhibition is open every day except Saturdays. Please visit the William Robinson Gallery website for more information.

The Prince -- Michael Zavros
Michael Zavros's "The Prince" exhibition is now on display at the Griffith University Art Gallery, South Bank. Zavros revisits the work of 1970s appropriation artist Richard Prince in this latest exhibition, presenting a collection of reconfigured images drawn from more than fifteen years of his career.
